The film has an award-winning script by an autistic writer/director, Anna Czarska, co-produced by both Anna Czarska and Gemma Stack, starring IFTA nominated, autistic actor, Jordanne Jones in the lead role, alongside Ruby Connolly as her younger counterpart, and Lara McIvor supporting.

The film features an original score by award-winning composer Natasa Paulberg and a tune from Irish chart topping singer-songwriter, Orla Gartland.

 

Mildly Different was a Semi-Finalist for the ScreenCraft Film Fund 30k Competition in 2021, a Semi-Finalist for Bumble's Female Film Force 22k Competition Spring of 2019, a finalist in Talent Nation/FM 104's 10k competition Fall of 2019, as well as a winner of the Lift Off Manchester Screenplay Competition and the CFIFF Screenplay Competition, a finalist in the 13th Annual Waterford Film Festival Screenplay Competition, LISP, Annual Aarhus Film Festival, and was Gold Listed by the British Independent Film Festival.

We have managed to successfully raise €34,000 via support by the Arts Council’s Arts and Disability Connect Scheme managed by Arts & Disability Ireland and community support via crowdfunding.

Sticky Tape Productions is teaming up with RML Films to bring you Natural Born Strugglers, a Dark Comedy Series by Rita-Marie Lawlor, about 3 women who share a house in Dublin. Mel - a photojournalist covering the arts, Josie – a singer-songwriter, and Ali- who relies on grants and part-time freelance work to get by.
